PhraRarhu is a half body serpent celestial giant which cause ellipses by swallowing the sun or moon. In hindu mythology, PhraRarhu is one of the navagrahas (nine planets) in Vedic astrology. The Rarhu Ketu (time of day under the influence of Rarhu) is considered inauspicious. He is the son of Phra Kasayapatep with his upper body is glistening and his lower half has the tail of a dragon. He rides on a Garuda(Phya Kruith) - the national bird of Thailand. His character is unique as he likes to move around singly. Darkness is his Preference. Therefore, black is his favorite color. Perhaps, what sets PhraRarhu apart from the rest of the celestial creatures is his love for righteousness although he has the warrior kind of character. After PhraRarhu become and immortal, Brahma King placed high regards on him as equal status to the gods. How did he become and immortal?
